AWHP submitted an official comment letter to USPSTF, who released draft guidelines pertaining to breast cancer screenings. AWPH commended lowering the recommended screening age to 40, but also urged USPSTF to include annual breast cancer screenings, more vigilant recommendations for women with dense breast tissue, and continued mammography for women ages 75 and older in its final recommendations.
