AWHP submitted a public comment letter to USPSTF calling for changes to a draft research plan for weight-loss interventions to prevent obesity-related morbidity and mortality in adults, underscoring the importance of considering the harms associated with untreated obesity and examining the issue through the lens of health equity.
AWHP Comments on Draft Recommendations from USPSTF on Breast Cancer Screening

AWHP submitted an official comment letter to USPSTF, who released draft guidelines pertaining to breast cancer screenings. AWPH commended lowering the recommended screening age to 40, but also urged USPSTF to include annual breast cancer screenings, more vigilant recommendations for women with dense breast tissue, and continued mammography for women ages 75 and older in its final recommendations.
