Dr. Yolanda Lawson: Prioritizing Prevention in Women’s Healthcare

Yolanda Lawson, MD, President of the National Medical Association and founder of MadeWell Obstetrics and Gynecology, has dedicated her life to women’s preventive health.

As president of the National Medical Association, the oldest national African American medical association in the U.S. and an organization committed to eliminating health disparities, Dr. Lawson is working to foster health equity by ensuring that all women have the resources they need to make informed decisions about their health. A veteran OB-GYN, Dr. Lawson is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and sits on a number of boards, committees, and speaker bureaus, utilizing her leadership positions to advocate for women’s health and empowerment.
