AWHP Releases 2026 Policy Agenda and Key Legislative Priorities to Advance Women’s Preventive Health

AWHP is excited to announce the release of our 2026 Policy Agenda, outlining our federal regulatory and legislative priorities for the year.

At AWHP, we believe better health outcomes begin with smart policy. As a non-partisan, nonprofit advocacy organization, we work across the aisle to champion solutions that expand access, close gaps in care, and improve long-term health for women and girls in every community.

With the 119th Congress underway, 2026 presents meaningful opportunities to advance legislation and regulatory efforts that can deliver measurable improvements in preventive care.

AWHP’s policy agenda is rooted in our four policy pillars, which guide our efforts to drive access to care for women and girls nationwide:

  • Addressing upstream social and environmental factors
  • Advancing access to care and treatment
  • Promoting early detection and diagnosis
  • Advancing vaccine access and affordability

The 2026 Policy Agenda is more than a list of priorities. It is a strategic framework for action, outlining policies that have the potential to modernize preventive care, reduce disparities, and better support women and girls across every stage of life.

In the months ahead, AWHP will engage policymakers, advocates, providers, and other stakeholders to advance these priorities. We remain committed to serving as a trusted voice for policies that support the health and well-being of all women and girls.

We invite you to explore the full agenda here.
