This month marks Women’s Health Month. To honor this important observance and emphasize the ongoing need to improve maternal health outcomes for all women, we sat down with Dr. Cheryl Bellamy.
Dr. Bellamy currently serves as the President of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, or AWHONN. She is a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. As a certified nurse midwife, she boasts over 20 years of experience in obstetrics, with a focus on the clinical areas of Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, High-Risk Antepartum, Normal Newborn, and Women’s Health.
